The internet is selling your home address.
We fix that.

Hundreds of data-broker sites publish your home address, phone number, and family — often on the first page when someone Googles your name. We find every listing, send the legal demands to take it down, and keep you off as fast as they put you back.

What your exposed data gets used for

Scams & identity theft

Fraudsters buy broker data to make their calls convincing. When the caller knows your real address and your kid’s name, it doesn’t sound like a scam.

Physical safety

Your home address, photos of your house, and who lives with you — all one search away for an angry client, an ex, or a stranger.

Spam that never ends

Robocalls, junk mail, and spam email all trace back to broker lists. Fewer listings means fewer people with your number and inbox.

Three people talking in a living room

The people who look you up are rarely the ones you would invite in.

How it works

Doing this yourself means hundreds of buried opt-out forms, ID uploads, and waiting periods — and half the sites re-list you within 90 days. We do every bit of it for you, start to finish, for as long as you’re a member.

1

Sign up & authorize us

Create your account and sign the authorization that lets us act as your agent. Takes about a minute.

2

We file legal demands

Within 48 hours we send legally binding deletion requests under California privacy law (the CCPA) and other state privacy laws to every site holding your information.

3

We chase the ones that stall

Brokers have a legal deadline to respond, and plenty drag their feet past it. We follow up, escalate with a formal notice, and keep the proof each listing came down.

4

We keep you off

Data brokers re-list people constantly. We re-scan and re-file automatically, so your information stays removed for as long as you’re a member.

Doing it yourself works. It just never ends.

Consumer Reports found manual opt-outs are effective, and that most paid services underperform them. The work is the problem: hundreds of sites, each with its own process, and they put you back.

The request we file on your behalf

Not a form submission that disappears. A written demand citing the law, sent with your signed authorization, tracked until they answer. If they ignore it, we escalate and cite the missed deadline.

A note from the founder

Offpublic is a small company, and I like it that way. There is no phone tree here, no offshore ticket queue, no “your call is important to us.” When you email, a person answers — usually me.

The deal is simple: we file the legal demands, chase the companies that stall past their deadline, and file again every time a broker re-lists you. Every company we contact is named on our public list, and every request shows in your dashboard. If we don’t earn your trust in the first 30 days, you get every dollar back.

Questions we get asked

Is this actually legal?

Yes. Data brokers are required by law to honor deletion requests under California privacy law and a growing list of state laws. You authorize us to act for you, and we file on your behalf — the same right you already have, exercised at a scale no one could manage alone.

What information do you need from me?

Your name, current city, and email, plus any past addresses or maiden names you want covered. We use it only to find and remove your listings, never for anything else, and you can delete it from our systems anytime.

How long until my listings are gone?

Requests go out within 48 hours. Most listings come down in 2–6 weeks; brokers have a legal response window and some stall to the last day. Your dashboard and quarterly report show exactly what’s removed and what we’re still chasing.

Why not just do it myself?

You absolutely can. It’s a few hundred sites, each with its own buried opt-out form, and about half re-list you within months. Doing it properly is a part-time job that never ends — that’s the job we do for you.

Does removal cover Google results?

When a broker listing comes down, the Google result pointing at it dies with it. That’s how most people disappear from page one — we remove the source, and the search result follows.
